FEATURED NEWS

1. As per my question in estimates, could the total number of doctors, nurses and paramedics registered for AHPRA, years ending 2019, 2020, 2021, and 2022 please be provided? Could that number be set out for new registrations and registrations no longer renewed please?

Question Number: 11
PDR Number: 11
Date Submitted: 21/11/2022
Department or Body: Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency

Our correspondence dated 22 November 2022 provided the requested registration data for registered doctors, nurses and paramedics – per below (Table 1). Senator Rennick requested that this data also be set out for new registrations and registrations no longer renewed.
Table 2 sets out the total registrations granted per profession. This data comprises all applicants, including both domestic and international applicants as well as those who are not first-time registrants but are instead returning to registration. Table 3 sets out the number of health practitioners who did not renew their registration in each calendar year. The below data shows the standard renewal campaign figures and does not include limited or provisional renewals.
