Should cities be renamed as Aboriginal ones when there is a hospital and housing crisis?

Recent concerns have been raised regarding the potential of gross misallocation of public funds by the Queensland Premier, Annastacia Palaszczuk.

Criticism has been directed towards the government’s decision to invest resources in renaming cities and landmarks to Aboriginal names, rather than addressing urgent socio-economic challenges such as the hospital and housing crisis.

Annastacia Palaszczuk has recently come under fire when it was reported that she would change the name of Brisbane to ‘Meanjin’. She has hit out saying the move is absurd but can we really trust her when her government has already renamed Fraser Island?

Anna should focus on resolving critical issues like healthcare and affordable housing, rather than misusing public funds.
