Overwhelmingly fatiguing!
Hands up those parents who’ve contacted the government about restricting children’s access to social media because they are overwhelmingly fatigued?
We should strive to protect young Australians from online harm but the proposed measures could have significant privacy and security implications for all users, without addressing the root causes of online bullying or providing a realistic solution to its prevention.
The two major parties are rorting the system. Last week, the minor parties tried to get more time to scrutinise to proposed bills, namely the Safety Online Bill and the Electoral Amendment Act by moving an amendment to the closure dates for these inquiries.
Last year I released a set of policies designed to hold the establishment to account. These are:
More government overreach.
This week I spoke against the proposed bill to ban 16 year olds from social media.
Senator Gerard Rennick has released the taxation policy for his People First Party, designed to empower the Australian people. He said it will improve Australia’s productivity and stem the erosion of Australia’s tax base.
I rise tonight to speak about the key policies introduced by People First party, albeit it’s one person. I think it’s very important to note that it is a party that actually has some key policies that seek to empower hardworking Australians, the individual, and their families.

Last week I lent my support to banning gambling advertisements. There is no need to encourage online gambling, especially sports betting at a time when children are watching television.
Earlier this week I spoke to ADH TV about the policies I would like to see implemented by government.
How much money is being wasted on unnecessary University degrees?
If there is one industry that could give the renewables or pharmaceutical rent seekers a run for their money it would have to be NDIS.
The idea that Private equity can treat people with disabilities as commodities is a joke. Why on earth would the government (Julia Gillard) privatise helping people with disabilities.

Speaking of frivolous degrees, last week a Senate inquiry into Tertiary Education was held Canberra. The Federal government is finally getting around to pulling Universities into line.
Me: What standards do you put in place to ensure that foreign students have adequate English skills when they are undertaking studies.
Not only is Digital ID going to be a threat to your privacy, it seems like it’s going to be a dog’s breakfast when it comes to holding authorities to account as to who is responsible for your data.
In Estimates, after much toing and froing, the ATO claim that Universities make no more $3 billion dollars from foreign students.
A few weeks back I questioned the CBA on the rise of the foreign bank lending to our agricultural sector and how closing branches in the regions is making it harder for locals to use Australian banks.
Recently the head of the Australian Banking Association Anna Bligh appeared before the RRAT committee in regards to branch closures.
She was unable to answer how much income banks collect in electronic transaction fees. No doubt because it would be embarrassing to admit that shutting down branches actually increases profits for the banks.
