Why isn’t the ATO going after foreign multinationals?

Why isn’t the ATO going after foreign multinationals?

Big fortnight coming up.
Back in Canberra for the final two weeks of sitting this year.

This week in estimates I exposed the bureaucracy on their lack of quality assurance and integrity in a number of areas.

“Do you think if Scott Morrison went to the Australian public and asked the people for $300 billion dollars with “no security”, to pay other people to stay at home and get brain washed by the premiers about Covid the people would have lent him the money?

“We live in a world where there was free flowing capital, that ultimately was a benefit for us. It allows good investment opportunities in Australia to be financed. It allows capital to flow to the most productive uses.”

One rule for the big boys and one rule for the little guys.

“There is actually a shortage of people to work in construction and more broadly across the economy and the difficulty of attracting people into that area.”

I recently asked Treasury why they don’t reintroduce capital controls to stop house prices from over inflating.

I rise tonight to speak about the key policies introduced by People First party, albeit it’s one person. I think it’s very important to note that it is a party that actually has some key policies that seek to empower hardworking Australians, the individual, and their families.

Earlier this week I spoke to ADH TV about the policies I would like to see implemented by government.

I have been personally contacted by a number of people who have been too afraid to speak out against corruption in the government for fear of reprisal.

The Labor Party has stopped fighting for the people.
I recently called out Labor’s failure to stand up for workers in the chamber.

How much money is being wasted on unnecessary University degrees?

The debate around monetary policy in this country is hopeless.
The two major parties are arguing over how many boards should the RBA have, when they should be asking why unelected officials are changing the price of paper, instead of directing credit into infrastructure projects that might actually do something about the lack of supply in Australia.

The debate around monetary policy in this country is hopeless.

If there is one industry that could give the renewables or pharmaceutical rent seekers a run for their money it would have to be NDIS.
The idea that Private equity can treat people with disabilities as commodities is a joke. Why on earth would the government (Julia Gillard) privatise helping people with disabilities.

Well well well.
If this isn’t dodgy I don’t know what is!
Looks like Albo has been sticking his hands in the cookie jar.

“Petrol retailing and refining giant Ampol has landed another $100 million from the federal government to help roll out a further 200 electric vehicle fast charging bays by 2025, and to pursue efforts on renewable fuels and other technologies.

The deception and rorts never end.

Yesterday I was asked by Tom Connell on Sky News about what it was like being an Independent Senator.
I replied it gave me a lot more freedom to talk about the policies I am passionate about.
It’s also an opportunity to compare a politician with conviction and vision to the sad sack of sock puppets currently running the show.

One of the great inconsistencies in the Tax Act is that there is a 50% discount on profits from capital gains as opposed to wages or profits.
It has greatly distorted asset prices (along with immigration) to the extent that younger generations are locked out of the housing market.

Speaking of frivolous degrees, last week a Senate inquiry into Tertiary Education was held Canberra. The Federal government is finally getting around to pulling Universities into line.

Why isn’t the ATO enforcing transfer pricing arrangements?
In estimates I proposed to the ATO that similar to limits on debt deductions there should limits on other expenses claimed by multinational companies operating in Australia.

“When it comes to global rankings, there aren’t too many fields where we’ve been vying for top honours for near on two decades.
In the pantheon of money laundering and terrorism finance, however, we rank right up there with the best.

Well well well.
