Fair Work refuses to take responsibility for the way they ruled on vaccine mandate cases
This is why we need an independent judicial commission. The Fair Work Commission is anything but fair.

I have to say this is one of the most surprising discussions I’ve ever had in estimates.

It would appear that Donald Trump will become the next President of the United States.

In estimates I asked Treasury why they don’t track rental payments made offshore and why they don’t require rental agents to withhold tax on those payments.

Another day, another rort in Government exposed.

In Estimates I asked the Finance Minister why retired Canberra bureaucrats should be receiving pensions much higher than those in the private sector, especially when the bureaucrats were highly paid throughout their working careers.

Conflict of interest perceptions mean Matt Kean should choose between his job as chairman of the federal government’s Climate Change Authority or working for a private energy transition fund led by a former Macquarie banker, a former top public servant and a fan of the ex-NSW treasurer says.

New data from Cornwall Insight has projected the Australian National Electricity Market (NEM) will increase its solar, wind, and storage capacity by more than 150GW by 2043. According to Cornwall Insight’s NEM Benchmark Power Curve, the total installed capacity for these technologies is expected to rise from 52GW in 2025 to 208 GW by 2043, a 300% increase.

In the Senate I recently outlined why it is much better to invest in Nuclear power than “renewables.”
• Nuclear has a capacity factor of 92% as opposed to solar and wind which has a capacity factor between 20% and 30%. I.e it is more reliable

Seriously! When it comes to renewables, changes in technology have only ever been at the margins.
The idea that the costs of renewables has fallen by half, when inflation is rampant has no credibility.

Why are our own politicians selling us out?
An easy way to tell if multinationals are shifting their profits offshore is to compare the operating profit ratio of their operations in Australia verses their worldwide operating profit.

Recently the Greens moved a motion in the Senate arguing Australia doesn’t do enough for refugees. Australia has a very generous refugee policy accepting 20,000 refugees a year. It’s much higher than other First world countries, based on population.

Just a small critique on the direction of the Albanese Labor Government.

The only way to reduce power prices as quickly as possible is to build base load coal fired power stations using home grown resources.

Same Ship Different Rats
Labor is sacking 160 out of 340 staff on the Administrative Appeals Tribunal only to replace them with their mates at a cost of a billion dollars.

We desperately need financial services reform in this country. Insurance premiums increases are driving small businesses into bankruptcy.

In estimates Murray Watt accused the Coalition of pork barrelling when the APVMA was moved to Armidale. Given the APVMA serves regional Australia why shouldn’t it be in regional Australia?

$500 million allocated to high speed rail, and the Infrastructure Department can’t really explain how the money spent is actually value for money.

In recent decades has been a lot of arguing over the rate of emissions but I have seen very few people actually question the quality of the measurements.

The RBA is colluding with global banks against our national interest. In Estimates I asked the RBA how much it costs to store our gold with the Bank of England.

This is why the RBA should not be independent.
In Estimates I asked the RBA Governor if the RBA would be prepared to use their payment systems to help set up a government owned bank to provide essential banking services including cash.

More proof the RBA is captured by foreign banks.
In Estimates I asked the RBA if the financial deregulation of the 1980’s was a good thing.

“You will often see a significant increase in the number of shorts before a capital raising which suggests insider trading.

We need a Government Bank.
In Estimates I sought a commitment from the Government that they would ensure that banking services remain in the regions.
