Vaccination status data items contained in the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare’s National Perinatal Data Collection (NPDC) are currently limited to the vaccinations routinely recommended for women to receive during pregnancy, as defined by the Australian immunisation handbook, issued by the Department of Health and Aged Care (available at: https://immunisationhandbook.health.gov.au/contents/vaccinationfor-special-risk-groups/vaccination-for-women-who-are-planning-pregnancy-pregnantor-breastfeeding). •

More information about the NPDC is available from the AIHW website at: www.aihw.gov.au/reports/mothers-babies/australias-mothersbabies/contents/technical-notes/data-sources.
