The clip just epitomises the arrogance of the bureaucracy.
The Secretary of the Environment and Infrastructure Department complained about answering 400 questions on notice from the last set of estimates in his opening statement.
On further questioning it turns out that there are 2000 staff in his department and they have around 4-6 weeks to answer Questions on Notice.
That works out at about one question for every five staff, of which 100 are on over $200,000.
The bureaucrats in Canberra aren’t only ideologically flawed, they are incredibly self entitled.
