The Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) works closely with states and territories to share adverse event information. The TGA has implemented a file upload mechanism to allow states and territories to rapidly and efficiently, and in some cases automatically, report large numbers of cases. The TGA also regularly meets with states and territories to discuss vaccine safety and address any barriers to reporting. During the COVID-19 vaccine rollout, over 90,000 adverse event reports have been submitted for COVID-19 vaccines to the TGA by states and territories.
